I am a part-time illustrator ... with ambitions to one day be a full-time artist/illlustrator – just like my heroes Quentin Blake, Oliver Jeffers and many more.
I live in Colchester, Essex, and grew up in Manningtree on the River Stour, very close to Constable Country. By day I work with rescue animals.
I have always loved drawing and being generally creative. I worked as a children's nanny for many years and throughout this career I did evening classes, gaining 2 A levels (Art and Biology) and a foundation course in Art and Design, specialising in illustration.
I then went on to do a correspondence course in children's illustration with the London Art College and through this I started to illustrate for The Music House for Children in West London. From there, one of the angels & urchins' team saw my work and contacted me to illustrate for their magazine – I love what I do for these people.
I would love to do more illustrating work and am open to commissions , more magazine work, anything really - try me !
